The Teacher Preparation and Induction Department works in collaboration with other divisions, departments, and external entities to facilitate federal, state, and district initiatives and oversees the direction of assigned district-wide professional and organizational development functions.
It plans, organizes, evaluates, controls, and directs teacher preparation, induction, and professional development functions for teachers along a continuum of experience, from aspiring to veteran.
It assists teachers, principals, and others to identify professional development strategies that lead to improved student achievement.
