  • Provide effective feedback handout (see link below).
    • Have interns discuss key points of the handout.
  • Examine student work
    • With partner, examine the type of feedback you provided to your students. What are the strengths and weakness of the feedback provider?
  • Interns will be given time to modify the feedback. Make sure the feedback is specific.
    • Afterward, interns will switch student work with partner. How does the new feedback compare to the old? Be specific.

Assessment Agenda for November 12, 2009

· Moving students forward – Ask the interns how they have used either formative or summative assessment to modify their lessons in the last two weeks. How were these modifications used to move students forward? Please write this on a separate sheet of paper. (Let the interns brainstorm for a few minutes. They will share their thoughts with a partner and then the class). 

· PowerPoint presentation – Look in the note sections for each slide. There are questions and/or activities associated with some of the slides.

· Professional Readings – Interns will discuss readings, if time permits

o From High-Stakes Testing to Assessment for School Improvement

o Standardized testing and its Victims

· Work on Projects, if time permits.
