Future Educators Association (FEA) Clubs have been established at many district middle and high schools to garner student interest in pursuing teaching careers. Each club is sponsored by a teacher (Club Advisor) who is dedicated to promoting the teaching profession. As the only national pre-collegiate program for prospective teachers, FEA’s mission is to provide students with the opportunity to explore careers in education. Through participation in the district’s FEA Clubs, students gain a realistic understanding of the nature of education and the role of the teacher. They have opportunities to participate in activities such as national conferences, summer leadership institutes, and field trips to local colleges and universities. The district’s FEA program is committed to recruiting future educators with diverse ethnic, racial, social, and economic backgrounds.
